Addicted One

by Letty   Jul 29, 2007

It's three O'clock in the morning.
Everyone is sound asleep.
No noise can be heard, except the ticking clock,
And the pounding of my heart as it beats.

The moon is bright and full,
Illuminating my dark room.
As I wait nervously for you,
To return home to me soon.

I wonder where you are,
Admitting that I'm afraid.
That if you stay away from my love to long,
You won't come back the same.

Another minute passes by,
But to me it seems like a day.
I was a fool to let myself fall in love,
Because I didn't want to turn out this way.

I'm addicted to you My dove,
Like an addict addicted to drugs.
I just wish that you were addicted too,
That way we both could be madly in love.
