I Now See

Walking down the street
Faces pass me
As the world leaves me behind

Everyday i see horrific news on the tv
Bombs far and wide within the world
Nine year old boys holding guns
Just to defend their country

I now see how this world has evolved
I now see where this will all lead
I now see why human kind has become naive
I now see what is happening in this planet around us
I now see that when i leave this world my soul will rise to heaven

Teenagers using drugs
Piercing their skin with needles
School children drinking before their years
Cigarettes being smoked for the slightest release from stress

Rapists and murders being let off
Just to commit more crimes
As they leave the court room with a smirk on their face

Schools allowing bullying to continue
While scared children leave their classrooms
Hoping they will not go home with bruised skin

Family's hide in fear
As racism makes their lives unbearable
Shattered windows and broken doors
Hiding in their houses from death

Children taking on too much pressure
Sleepless nights occur
Scars appear from sharp razor blades
Unhappiness creeps upon you

I now see how this world has evolved
I now see where this will all lead
I now see why human kind has become naive
I now see what is happening in this planet around us
I now see that when i leave this world my soul will rise to heaven

I hope and pray for this world
As i still as myself questions
Why is this happening now?
How did it get to this?
Will anything change?
Who will be the saviour of this place we call home?

I pray that it will not worsen
As all the troubles on gods green earth
Struggle to get fixed
As we live in sin

O how i now see the world for what it is
