My One Wish

Lamenting in depression,
Thinking just of you,
Reflecting on your purity,
Reflecting on your love,
I'm unable to free my mind of you,
Nor be it my desire to,
I have but 1 wish in life,
And my one wish be this;

For my heart, soul and mind,
To belong exclusively to you.

As this has been fulfilled,
The rest of my wish may follow on,
My greatest desire be this;

To be forever in your love,
And for you, to be forever in mine.

    I like this poem very much. You expressed emotions greatly and it is very interesting. I don't like the last two lines but rest of this poem is excellent.

    It holds so much emotions, but again, it is too typical for my taste. I like love poems with exquisite wording (like your last one) or with some metaphors. This is just my opinion... I mean, the poem is not bad, it's just not my taste, so I won't rate it.
