Twenty-Two

by Absinth Eyes   Aug 3, 2007

The twenty-two looks like you
Even the same shade of blue
And the eyes, how they shine
You can't excape them

Every night I ride twenty-two
As I wait, I only think of you
Going home from another night of
Kidding myself about me and you

The twenty-two moves just like you
At night it's doors are always open
And as soon as the ride ends
I'm walking home alone after midnight

So as I share secrets with your bed
When I wonder if you tell them
I'll pretend those eyes are mine
Though you still can't focus them tonight

Forget those eyes, somehow
You'd think I'd never seen blue
Forget I have a "back home"
Where no one knows what I am...

You're my twenty-two
Gone so fast, and now I'm alone
The light in my eyes is too much
And I'm sitting on the traintracks after midnight
