Wonderful beginning

It's been a while since I've felt this way,
I'm not in love,
But I've got this feeling,
How dare I say;

You give me this feeling,
And it truly makes me smile,
It's just something,
I haven't felt in a while.

And I know I don't know you yet,
But every single second with you,
Is without a spark of regret,
And still full of temptation...

You told me I was beautiful,
And I didn't know what to do,
My cheeks turned red,
As I looked away from you.

But meanwhile,
I wanted still wanted to look at you,
But the colours of my cheeks, and the shyness of myself,
They didn't want me to.

"Don't look Birgit, don't look" it said.
But I wanted to, I truly did.
"Red, red, the colour of your head"
My mind was teasing me!

And after you left,
I just laughed for over thirty minutes,
Just smiling and thinking,
Oh, what a wonderful beginning.
