Letting You Go

And now it makes me want to cry
Cause you've lost that sparkle in your eye
Your face; it doesn't glow anymore
Your love for me is dead for sure

I loved it when you needed me
I'd smile cause you believed in me
I'd found the right one finally
But then your feelings changed

I never dreamt our love would fade
I thought an unbreakable bond was made
I stayed up late all night and prayed
That you'd try again to love me

Although you haven't left me yet
And my head is saying 'do not fret'
My heart has placed its final bet
For us the end has come

In my heart there is a place for you
And its walls can not be broken through
But now all that is left to do
Is smile, and let you go.

    This was a great poem and the ryhme scheme was really good. breaks ups r always a pain =/ but this poem was soothing =)

    A great piece love. It was full of emotion and a great flow, with wonderful rhymes. I don't really have a favorite stanza, it was all pretty much as good as each other, the plus side is though, I can't find anything I dislike about it.

    What a beautifully written piece.

    The depth and emotion you portray in this is very well done, the feelings are easily sensed by the reader.

    The imagery creates vivid pictures and the flow is good throughout the whole piece.
