Love is never easy

Why do I always go looking trouble
Every time I get two steps ahead
I take about six back
I guess its right what they say
Maybe I do like putting myself through pain
I dont understand
Im so confused
Ive never wanted something
As much as I wanted him
I never loved someone
As much as I love him
He was everything to me
And so much more
Now he tells me so calmly
That I was just his escape
Part of his dream world
And now that hes had his satisfaction
Taken everything I am
Hes done and moving on
It breaks my heart
Just thinking bout it
A pain so sharp in my chest
It makes it hard to breathe
This is the guy
That inspired my love poetry
That made me feel special
Made everything seem better
But now I was just a waste of his time
Just someone in his way
I cant bring myself to hate him
Even though I really want to
I guess its true what they say
Love is never easy
