My Friend and Sister

We met each other in second grade,
You were new that year and afraid.
One day I started talking to you,
I told you how much I loved your Pokemon shoes.
We started playing together at recess,
Playing pretend with all of our friends.
Soon we exchanged numbers,
And starting running up both our phone bills.
We both got a crush on Bo Tidwell,
He was the cutest guy in school.
Me and you talked about it but decided,
We were too good for him and we both moved on.

Middle School was difficult,
You thought no one cared,
Like I was the only one there for you.
No matter what,
I helped you out.
Whenever you were kicked down,
I helped you back up on your feet.
Remember how I was so in love with Tim,
Then out of nowhere he left me?
I called you the second we broke up,
You listened to me cry for hours,
You even cried with me.
Soon I was over it,
Just because you helped me shine again.

Now we're sophomores in High School,
And we're still best friends.
Sure we fight,
Say things that aren't right.
But we always call back an hour later,
We take it all back and apologize.
Amanda, you are like my sister,
We'll be best friends forever!
No matter what,
Because we love each other so much.
So remember...
If you ever need me,
I'm just a phone call away.
I'll always be here for you,
My best friend and sister.

I made this poem for my best friend Amanda.. Sure, I could have done something simple, but I decided to actually make a poem about things that happened to us in real life.. The Pokemon shoes, Bo Tidwell, Tim breaking up with me, that is all true. Those are only some of the hardships we've been through together and the reason why we'll be best friends forever =) I love you Amanda!!
