This is the day.(ordinary)

*for a friend -Don't change on your 18th birthday

This is the day-
in what will seem to be a finale
would only be a first step,
compared to the times we've shared
and the memories we've kept.
One day I've gone to go afar,
surely not to go away,
not to say goodbye;
but because I could not stay.
Since then, days have gone by,
for days are forever old
It almost seems like one day to the next
in a heartbeat, they unfold.
This is the day-
wherein We behold the time
consuming everything in its path-
once it was this way;
the next, it is that.
We know change is constant
but remember this in fact-
we have nothing to lose,
we can always help it-
we only change when you choose.
This is the day-
when I'll discover
things be more differently.
the appearance of the past
will only be a memory.
I will no longer perceive the girl
looking back at me;
but a woman with a sparkle-even more sparkle,
in her eyes, i'll see..
For this is the day,
pertaining to every day
every minute, every moment of my way:
when my being remembers you
for on any single moment
i can't be there with you.
That's okay, though you're unaware
you're still in my thoughts.
conversing, This is the day
You are eighteen now
a woman, i'd say formally.
For this is the day miss..
in what would seem to be a finale
will only be a first step...
So, go therefore
enter into adulthood
still wide eyed with wonder
and never lose the innocence
of your childhood
I pray you'll be the same
in all, still remember my name...
unchanged like the day i met you
consistent as my love so true
you have nothing at all to lose
for we only change when we choose..
I only hope in every instant
you'll remember me too
and when I come back,
You'll be the same You...
I can only wish
that it would never be
when you lose the puerile look,
you lose your love for me.
For you have numerous ideas
on pieces you desire to do
In all these, I can only hope
and hope only i can
that the eternity of our love
is part of your plan...
