Empty

by Nick   Aug 24, 2007

Life goes on like it never ends
Alaskan sun goes down again
My crimson heart, it needs a friend
So empty

When the rain came down, I saw you there
A face I knew, once wrought with care
Who am I now? And why and where?
So empty

I hear your voice, and I don’t know how
Deep in the dark, away from the crowd
Always lost, but never found
So empty

A vacant life, a long gone soul,
My place on earth, I have no role
I had a heart, the one you stole
So empty

I heard you tell me you were through
If only I wasn’t such a fool,
Now I would be holding you
So empty

These dark times come from the light
Go left I might, but which is right?
An empty heart is mine tonight
So empty
