That Perfect Moment

That starry night when we locked eyes
The moment when you wrapped your arms around me
Then the warm surprise of your lips on mine
That one night that changed my life
That perfect moment is where I want to be

We slept on the beach that night
Holding hands while gazing at the Milky Way
"Somebody To Love" playing through the headphones we shared

You slept so soundly
While I lay awake by your side
Listening to your breathing
Wishing you were awake to watch the sun rise with me
Not wanting to wake you, for you slept so peacefully
That perfect moment is where I want to be

You had me floating among those stars that night
That was my perfect moment
