Wish for the night

by Ocean Soul   Sep 3, 2007

To the night my wishes I send
Before the moon lit sea I stand
Madrigals from the ocean take me
To the distant land of dreams

Walking the winding paths of yore
Meeting the elves, fairies and gnomes
They play and sing and dance for the night
For them the errant moon sheds its light

Crestfallen maiden sings at the crystal pond
Accompanied by the melancholy of the swansong
And tears run down for her long lost love

The early rays of the sun awake me
Days of loneliness I'm bound to live
But when the sun sleeps I wander in the land of dreams
