Dark Paths

by Ocean Soul   Oct 6, 2008

Tears roll down inside me
No one knows my grieving
I'm the one that a spell
Bounded me to hell

Walking on dark roads
The ancients walked once
Roads marked with blood
Suffering will last for good

The veil of darkness covered
The light that once shone in me
Watching the days go by slowly
Throwing my wishes to the sea

A siren from the deep came to me
Singing songs of melancholy
The moon stopped to hear
Tears merging with the sea

Forlorn my soul roams alone
On the dark paths of yore
That once light was shed upon
Dreamer's grieving forever more

The road goes on and on
Along the signs of those
Who in life walked alone
Still echo their moans

This burden bends my soul
Wish for this night to hold
As long as I finish this song
Then the burden will be gone
