This Forgotten Island

by Chris Rodriguez   Sep 5, 2007

I was bended and broken and I thought I heard

Some pretty whispering

I could see the sun

But the imprints in my eyes left me blind

To my own way

Will you leave me just one memory

Of you

On this forgotten island

I waited so long that I can't remember

A day without you in my head

Sometimes I could feel myself disappearing

In whatever it was you remembered me by

On this forgotten island

The days are drawing closer

When I can free myself

My will can drive me forever

But I don't think you had any for me to start with

I'd wait forever

If you told me to

On this forgotten island

That orange light is lit again

And in my room I can see you so faintly

But that will always be enough for me

Take me away so I can forget this

This forgotten island
