Darkness falls swiftly
blinding my eyes
silence drowns out the screams
confusion escalating to chaos
and there in the center is you

shattered glass pours down
like raindrops from a cloud
blood flows as life ebbs
while fire kisses the sky
and there in the center is you

the sun rises on a scene of destruction
a harsh wind singing its lament
everything lost, nothing remains
nothing but one beating heart
and there in the center is you
