My Last Prayer

by Oracle   Sep 15, 2007

Save one last breath for when i return,
bow your head,
so that i may kiss your brow.

lock your gaze with mine,
let my embrace comfort,
keep my warmth with you now.

do not shed your precious gems,
keep your weary soul intact,
let not your heart be in ache.

for when i become awake,
i may see you once and again,
death not be in the way of this friendship of ours.

    You're pretty much on the side of forever brilliant in all of your works. :) And yet... you do not realize it at times, because not many people care to compliment you on your poetry. Sad, really. Yet I will, because I hold much faith in poetry. :) 5/5
