Picture the mind

Picture the mind of a distant man
who sits in the dark
drinking lifes problems away
for that time he just sits and drinks
the golden liquid he cannot see
til he no longer hears what they say

he's sitting in front of a jury
speaking what should have been the truth
sadly its been twisted and turned
too many times
that even he's questioning
his own beliefs

the cocaine in his nose burns thru
the flesh of his mind
yeah he assaulted that girl
but its not like she said no
&now shes using the sex against him
to deny the addiction thats haunted her
for far too many years
