I want to thank you

by Broken Inside   May 3, 2004

I want to thank you,

For showing me who I can be,

If I take the time and figure out,

What life is really about.

It’s weird spending everyday

With the same old face,

Looking back at me.

I’ve learned not everything goes my way,

And we all have our bad days.

But that’s okay.

Things get better as we grow,

With people teaching us what we must know.

I want to thank you,

For letting me get over you.

I’ve never felt better.

You messed with my head all those times,

I was to blind to tell.

I thought you were awesome,

I thought you cared.

Boy, was I wrong.

You fooled me big time, kid.

I couldn’t believe what you did.

I don’t care anymore though,

I’m over you,

And I want to thank you.
