Will I Die?

Will I die,
Defining who I am?
Will anyone disregard who I think I am,
Will they kill me for it?

Will I die,
Changing me for good?
Will you think different,
And put me down?

Will I die,
Saying what I am thinking?
Will you just look at me,
And laugh like I'm 'never' serious?

Will I die,
Protecting my family?
Will you beat and break me,
Trying to protect them?

Will I die,
Is the question I ask myself everyday,
I walk out into the world, into reality,
Wondering what today will bring.
