Not the Sterotypical Teen

by Tina   May 5, 2004

I'm the girl with the spray paint can, you think that from this earth i should be ban.
Maybe i just like art, sometimes i think this world i falling apart.
I'm spray painting my tables black and white, from your icy cold glares I know you think that I'm not doing right.
I wouldn't do that, but you don't know, I'm just a stereotyped teen thats all i have to show.
All the "grown up's" judge me like they were just a kid, nobody will no about all the good things I did.
I am independent and wanted to make my room my own, I have the right to do that besides this is my home.
Don't judge me because I'm painting and you think I'm getting high, because i wouldn't do that and that is NO lie!
But to you I'm just a trouble maker the stereotypical teen, everyone looks right past me, i just want to be seen!
I don't do drugs, I'm not in a gang, I don't rape people, my life is not a game.
The society is out numbering us lowering our standards as human beings, somebody should tell them not to stereotype teens.
They're just trying to get attention because at home they weren't loved, maybe from their dad he was pushed and shoved.
But me and my friends want to get noticed for all the good things we can do, instead of everyone saying Teenagers can't do anything..no not even you!
Don't laugh at me don't poke fun, I'll show you when the day is done.
I fight temptation I believe in God, I'm a real human being I'm not a fraud.
Take me as I am being all that i can be, and look at me the same as any other human being.
