Regret

Seems I've been stuck
In an infinite Time of still regret
With out a breathe you stand on the border
Living between right and wrong
The bond that once held us so tightly together
Is diminished by a pleasure that never truly existed
We bask In this illusion
Of fun and happiness
Only to find
That on the other side of the mirror was a pain
We never hoped to feel
As we hold this half empty bottle
We didn't realize the damage it could do
As we press the alcohol
To our puckered lips,
A poison to hide our imperfections
a venom of pure destruction
but another sip slides down
In the end All we created was
Regret.
