I saw the fire ignite in your eyes.
Watched the figure of Indifference turn around and shut the door.
And in the night, the shadows on my ceiling show me
the good and the bad raging inside all of us.
But before i see who wins, i fall asleep.
Each and everyday She wakes up early to watch the sun rise.
And the very moment she decides to blink, the sun decideds to pop up.
She catches the clock at 11:12.
Her hopes fall like stars from the sky to the ground
but still she keeps wishing, and wanting.
Most of all, she can not stop waiting.
It's all as unexpected as a drought in a rainforest.
And just as devastating.
They all groan and struggle to adapt.
But She just stands outside and waits for it to storm.
She has a heart as big as her imagination.
Though slightly more jaded.
Through acid rain or scorching sunshine,
she stands tall
And dares the wind to blow her down.
The wind never did, but oh, the boys sure could.
Never caring to see the beauty within
They all saw rigth through those large wide eyes
Quite frankly, they saw right past her.
Here today and then gone tomorrow.
Not even good enough to be used as an item to show off.
No, she was simply there to take up space.
I saw the faint spark of happiness in your eyes flicker and die.
Through the fog i saw you run from the world around you.
And when the sun came up i watched the monster in the closet transform into an old pile of clothes.
Like broken dreams accumulated and stockpiled
in the corner of the room.
