Effacts of War

by Beth   Oct 11, 2007

Hundreds of bullets fly.
As children sit home and cry.
Daddy is still gone.
Because this war is not yet won.
The whole world is shaken.
As Innocent lives are taken.
So many have shed tears.
As cries for help fall upon deaf ears.
Many families shattered.
Thousands of bodies battered.
Dark and scary nights.
Painful and bloody fights.
Holidays and birthdays missed.
As they send out another ship.
Yellow ribbons hang upon the door.
Hoping that our soldiers will return home once more.
