My Hiding Place

by Jessica D   Oct 14, 2007

When the weight of the world
Is too much to bear.
I visit the cross
And I pray there.

I say, "God, bail me out!
Let me know You"re here.
Cleans me of doubt,
And I won't shed a tear."

He lifts the weight off my shoulders,
And puts it on his.
He says, "It's alright,
I"ll take care of this."

He then picks me up
And holds both my hands.
When I say, "I need you, daddy,"
He'll say, "here I am.

You don't need to search
Cuz I'm always with you."
And as I fall asleep,
He gently says, "I love you"

I dream of the day
I'll get to touch the face
Of My Savior, My Father, and
My Hiding Place.
