I Believe ( for my daughters)

by Heather Sitton   Oct 16, 2007

I Believe

Today I am only a child
But soon I will be grown
I want to be a woman of faith
To have my faith and beliefs known

I am sitting here taking it all in
Storing it away for later years
I'm learning and growing
Facing obstacles, and conquering fears

You look at me and see a child
God sees who I will be
Lead me in the right direction
And watch how God works through me

I may be a great seer
Having visions or dreaming dreams
I could lead my generation to God
Speaking of a future much brighter than it seems

I'll be a woman of great faith and compassion
Loved and respected by my peers
Always heeding God's word
Staying steadfast, for the end is near

I'll learn I'm strongest
When I am on my knees
Through prayer I can move mountains
If I only believe

AND I BELIEVE
