The heart

by damont   Oct 16, 2007

My heart tares and it screams in pain
it cries out a stream of rain
releasing all thats inside to ease the strain
revealing all it knows till all its secrets are drained
a silence befalls it and all is still and tamed
grasping all its strength to maintain whats left of its frame
split in half by a choice from which it loses or gains
the pain thrives with every beat and burns as hot flames
its forced on its knee's and begs
dependent on another heart to give strength to its legs
death and life at the brim of exchange
finally it receives an answer as it expected it was the same
it was an answer fit for the sick and lame.
