Beauty of Life

by abcede   Oct 17, 2007

We face our fears with tear strewn eyes
and bury pain with heart felt cries
we laugh and sing and praise the LORD,
while fighting 'ganst the Devil's Sword.

We knowingly strike our best friend's back
realizing trust is what we lack.
We take for granted what we own
always wanting to know unknowns.

We lie, swear, lust, hurt, cheat, and steal,
while knowing that those don't appeal.
But looking past these human traits
we find a beauty that truly waits...

...Waits for us to treasure it so
the beauty from God so long ago
this beauty is unlike the humanly kind
it surpasses that of heart and mind.

Overlooked easy like wind so swift
...the beauty of life...
what an amazing gift.
