Tears streaked my face
even though I tried to hold back .
You said you loved me
only 2 days ago..
what went wrong ?

I tried to focus on something else
as I watched you turn your
back on me.

And no longer are you here.

I tried to pretend I didn't care
as you walked away,
I tried to be as smug as possible.

but everyone noticed my tear
drenched face.

You were always there for me
when I needed you most.
When I cried
you were the one person
who lent me
their shoulder.

I miss those days.

As I walked home from school
on that sunny autumn day
I recalled
my most treasured moments with you:
when our first kiss
was on a day like then, sunny but cool.
I recalled the windy summer day
at the beach when all we did was
laugh and play.

Everything was perfect
but to my surprise
I was never good enough for you .

That is why on that
sunny autumn day
all i could do was
Cry.
