What are memories but evidence of the past
holding on to something that I knew just wouldn't last,

Thinking about you every waking moment of the day
wishing you were here to take all my pain away,

Tears running down my face with questions like why,
why did you say you loved me,
why did you lie?

What happened to make you feel like I didn't care
baby you should have known I was always gonna be there,

But now you're gone
nowhere to be found,
leaving me all alone
with no place to hide,

From the pain,
the torture that's tearing me up inside
making me weak
wishing god would just take this life!

Now I sit in my room
wondering why
the memory of you still sticks in my mind,

maybe one day I will know the answer to what I ponder
but until that day comes
I'll just sit in my room
and wonder what went wrong.
