A quatrain to God's Inginuety, And man's pitfalls

by The Herald   Oct 30, 2007

God of the earth,
god of the land
god of the universe,
holds me in his hand

the hand that creates,
the hand that destroys.
the hand that makes people,
little girls little boys.

people that hate,
people that love
people that know things,
when to push when to shove

He gave us free choice,
He instills it in all
he lets us do stupid things,
shoot people till they fall

Jesus died for us
and took away our sins
he died because he loves us
and only he can cleanse

his love is deep
like the roaring river
his love is strong
only he can deliver

our pains and our sufferings
don't come from him though
they come from the devil
ours and god's evil foe.

a fallen angel,
Lucifer his name
he'll fall to the pit
he'll no longer play his game

this pit god created,
to it will go many
twas unintended for us
twas for the devil and his plenty

sadness comes over me
when i think of it all
So many lives wasted
all because of the fall.
