Perfect Child

by Jenna Rose Kat   Oct 30, 2007

Everyday people see an angel,
A perfect child, loved forever,
And yet when her temper rises,
She fears she can't keep it together.

And her voice gets cold as stone,
And her heart is pitch black,
And her eyes fill with tears,
So this perfect child can never go back.

She does what she's told,
An angel, they all think,
A child of the heavens,
So tell me why she joy will only sink?

So when people ask, "What happened?"
She tell them that no one is perfect,
That it's only a far-fetched dream,
And honesty is what she'll collect.

So now she gets in more trouble,
Will this angel now fall?
And she laughs at what people once thought,
For she wasn't a perfect child at all.
