Why Do I Push You Away?

Is it wrong to want you, The way that I do?
Is it wrong to keep wishing something that'll never come true?

Why do I push you away when you've done nothing wrong?
Why does everyone in my Life leave after not long?

Am I not worth it, Do I only cause pain?
People are worthless, They're only in it for self gain.

Can't you see that I'm hurting, I'm going down again,
I'm asking someone to save me, Just one DECENT friend.

Someone who loves me for the way That I am,
To look past the make up, And knows where I stand.

But no ones available, So looks like I'm alone,
I guess I'll deal with my problems, all on my own.

    Amazing poem, you have questins in there that a lot off people in this site ask regular but you make it more effective. i normally hate poems like this- the form the questions, rhyming couplets. But this really works for you its captivating and its really good..an dthe grammar iun this is bvetter.

    i love the title too, its what made me read it, i ask myself that questin everyday, why do i push my boyfriend of over two years away, when i no that he'd be there no matter if he doesn't stand..i still do it.. its a defense mechanism glad i'm not the only one though.

    i guess you were angry at a friend when you wrote this poem and this is why you put the word decent into capital right, you need to bring it back down, its kinda not professional looking.

    I love this poem because i can relate completely... i have noone i can trust to keep my fears and secrets, noone to hold on to while i cry... this is the perfect poem for those of who really feel alone.
