My Heart

by TheWorldFellNUWerentThere   Nov 3, 2007

I feel my heart tugging on it's strings,
Trying to break it's chains,
Trying to become free,
In the midnight blue.

I feel it beating faster,
When I feel the wind on my face,
The cold is nothing but a numbing thing,
I can't feel the pain.

Standing on the edge,
Edge of nothing,
Waiting for myself to fall,
Fall for eternity.

Living for a beast,
That rosed inside of me,
I am a wall,
I cannot break down.

Swimming for something,
That doesn't even end,
All I ever seem to do is,
Drown in my sins.

My skin is pale,
My eyes are dark,
My cries go unheard,
My life goes unnoticed.

Four,
Three,
Two,
One.

May I fall?

No one has commented on this poem, its amazing!!!!!!!!! I saw another poem you wrote about your dad. I LOVED that one too. My mom died when i was ten so i write sad poems too. I also thought it was ironic that i stumbled upon your profile and we happen to live in the same state and are the same age.= )
