Places you have come to fear the most.

by vintage darling   Nov 7, 2007

Wearing my heart on my sleeve the entire time.
knowing you'll never illustrate your true colors
darling, you were the song I could never forget.
Although it took long, I've figured out I'm fine.

You are buried profound as you canister
perfect exterior, trimmed by a stunning smile.
tunneling deeper in the midst of a search,
perhaps you'd find what you've been looking for.

There'll be a time when you can't fake.
Everyone will let you down, fewer satisfy you.
so just show yourself like I've seen you.
don't fear, it's a gamble you'll have to take.

It's the places you have come to fear the most.
the places that you've always called home.
bathing in regret, in the end it might be mislaid.
I'll always be waiting by the shoreline coast.

Until that day I'll let you breathe, think, and search.
It's in that time they come to realize their true desires.
You'll be staring down yourself, counting up the years
looking at the birds so silently on your backyard perch.

Cause the only place you'll ever know is home.
Yeah I know everyone gets scared
you'll always have me, as your friend
I'll never think to leave you to this alone.

Just come to overcome these places these fears.
Steady feet, they won't fail you, brave heart it won't break you.
don't wait, the lights will flash and fade away
act now, don't wait too long until it appears.
