Love Is Illusion

by Oracle   Nov 8, 2007

It all used to be sacred.
Your heart and soul remain un-shattered.
Never were there tears in your ruby eyes.
Why now?

The more I call out for you,
the further away you move.

No one can accuse you of never being more than a cold-hearted bastard.
You have always been crying,
never letting eyes see the stones as they hit the floor.

If at nothing,
you've got me to confide in.
Don't loosen the grasp that you have around my heart.
All the pain will only remind me of how much I am in love with you,
not of your abusive ways.

Kiss me,
and let us both plunge to our un-illusion-ed deaths this final time

This one reminds me so much of Iden. Not sure why. It was stunning, each word, each line... each imagination kept within. 5/5
