Orphan

by XxRobxX   Nov 10, 2007

I just ran away
From the orphanage my mother left me
I see the yard my father died
Left us standing side to side

I went to the market we always went
Sat down on the cold concrete ground
Wile this women passing by
Holding a bread in her wrinkled hands

I rush to her push her back
Grab the bread from the sack
She was standing there with pale eyes,
Pale eyes that love denies

With so much emotions she runs to me
Hugs and kisses she gives to me
I wonder who, who is this lady
A orphan like me is she maybe
She screams at me "look into my eyes"
Wile holding my hands I hear her cries
She says I love you and waves goodbye
And in my hands this women dies

The paramedics came to take the lady
But her wallet stayed beside me
Flipped it open took the ID
And our last name matched exactly.

    Rob,

This is a touching write with a powerful message behind it.
Typos on the word 'wile' in stanzas 2 and 4 it should be 'while'
