The Path To Success

If only you could leave behind the past thats soaked within.
The unforgotten memories the tears that burn through your skin.
If only they were able to see the true you behind the picture frame.
If only you could show your fans you to hold so much pain.

If only you could maintain that smile upon your delicate face.
If only you could understand even if famous you can fall from grace.
If only you'd remember who is the most important to you.
Friends and family, the people that help you make it through.

If only the dreams that you withheld wouldn't take over your thoughts.
Drugs, drinking whilst driving, this stuff only leads you towards the courts.
If only you would realise now the time is slowly getting shorter.
And which is more, you'll be a celebrity my daughter.
