Shadows

I see you now,
Standing so still
Out there, engulfed between the shadows.
Are you real to stay,
Or will you fade away,
When the sun chases away the shadows,
With the light of day?

I am real
And I am waiting
In this land of endless light.
Walk toward me;
Look for me.
Let me fill you with the brightness of the light.

It will cancel out the darkness,
And the pain will melt away.
You and I can go on living;
You will no longer be slaved by the gray:
You will be freed by the light of the day.

You see me now
Standing here
Highlighted by the golden rays.
You come toward me;
You reach for me.
But, the darkness remains:
The shadows call your name.
