I wonder in hope,
truth to be disclose.

Broken hearts mended free
scorched in silence and misery

Questioning lingering memories,
time persistently passing me by.

Do I still play on your mind,
or am I discarded in happy trails.

Assumptions rife, unkind
Titans battling in my mind

Out stretched arms calling to you,
hopeless efforts of reasoning.

Forgiveness I hold in my heart,
for I'd still be here tomorrow.

Holding passion in my heart and mind,
for my one that got away.
