Fly Away

They said
a hero would come
and show me the way

the hero they claimed
would be strong
and would take me flying
up into an eagles nest
on top of the world

the hero never came
but now they can just stand and watch
as i fly away,
on the wings of an eagle
they're just watching us
fly awy

a love could outlast
and my love
came to take me into his wings
you can watch us
as we fly away
into the sky
unbound by rules
just stand and watch,
as we fly away...

    This was really sweet. I loved it alot. The emotions portrayed were deep and the story behind it was original and capturing. Loved the way you started it. It had me hooked. This was a great poem. Well done. ~Mel

    Third stanza~
    Maybe "fly awy" -> "fly away"?
    Aisde from that, I really like it!
    Good flow, well organized stanzas ans really good choice of vocabulary~

    ^ "stron" needs a "g" on the end.

    ^ I'm not sure what you were trying to say here but i think its "and" not "an"
