You Were The Last Good Thing About This Part Of Town.

by Teria   Nov 23, 2007

You were the last good thing about this part of town.

Sorrow flames and stormy nights reinstate their place within my mind.
Burning flesh and rainy tears flow from the eyes of those left behind.
Fears a`rising and taking chances; Yet, I'm afraid you're too hard to find.

Not another one can take your place within the heart of the living dead.
For, you're implanted so slightly within every inch of my weary head.
Since memories won't fade away, I stare into the sun and the light yet shed.

Broken hearts shattered to pieces, torn by a soul that's not big enough.
With wondrous worlds so far apart it seems this love isn't tough.
We're losing faith with vanished hope that separates the weaker stuff.

And since, you were the last good thing about this part of town,
I'm afraid that I've somehow let every soul around here down.
For, the love between us wasn't strong, so I guess I'll just see you around.
