Soaking up the Tears

Underneath my cold blue bed
Is a letter that you never read
A letter covered in my tears
Written about all of my fears

A letter written under a year by a tad
All the memories mixed of happy and sad
Waiting for a time, hoping you'd care
Knowing someone like you is rare

Wishing only for you to turn to me
Hoping it not, you'd set my heart free
Not knowing how long I would last
Not wanting to be part of only your past

Wanting for us to be together
Ready and willing to wait forever
Then out of no where you stood by my side
No longer in shadows do I hide

Slowly and softly taking my hand
Together one by one we finally stand
Of that hand I will never let go
Justing making sure that you know

Never will I pull that letter out
Reminding me of so much painful doubt
That letter covered in so many tears
But you happily released all of my fears
