Fire and Ice - Alternate Ending

by Alex D   Dec 13, 2007

Ive envisioned our love; youve enlightened my inspiration,
Made happiness, visible, audible, touchable, attainable.
Our eyes, Our voice, Our touch, Our lips
Search for tempting answers to our bodys unasked questions.
Look in my eyes, Read what they scream, Know what my icy blue smile entails.
Your presence, like fire, burns with every sway of your hips

Our bodies. United together, Coming together, Fire and Ice together.
Twisting slowly together, interlocked in a sweet lovers embrace.
Take these words, my sincerity, my heart, my love, without resistance
Take my mind, my body, my soul, and cherish them forever.
Lie down with me, let lips do what lips do, let our hearts run their race
Let stress reside, Let anxiety be dismissed, Let ecstasy be our existence

Lay here with me, Let hands caress what they may, Let tongues trace what they might.
I know we belong, I know our love is true, I know you wont regret, We know this is right.
Lose all loose inhibitions, Love and adoration, Everything I have is what I give
Lost in your eyes, lost in this moment, feeling alive, this feeling I want to relive.

Fade into gray, lost in a mist, dragged down below, feelings I miss
Dreams are misleading, hopes have been mislead,
Lifes cruel jokes cant be escaped in the comfort of my bed

Memories of this girl bring a familiar bliss
But sadly bye gones are bye gones even in my darkest hours
Only in my lonely hours, only in my sad hours, if only hours were ours

Then fingers would caress and lips would kiss
Losing this, impossible, my heart continues to forbid
Its not a belief in dreams that needs to be rid

Its not a refusal to accept that Ive been permanently dismissed
Its the refusal to let go, and to find someone new
Its the refusal of me with the closure of you

Very great write! The flow was a little shaky in some parts, but the imagery and concept were brilliant! It's hard to keep a perfect flow in a poem written like this, but you've gotten very close. The word choice did wonders for this poem. Great write! 5/5
