Memories I've Lost

by LoveKeepsMeStrong   Dec 22, 2007

Do you find it sad remembering your naive life?
The days when you didn't know about sex or drugs
Or messed around about who was going to be your wife
The days spent running around are all memories I've lost.

My dad used to drive me home and I would scream in his car
To a song which I now know was too sexual to be true
And now it's like my life has gone too far
And now I wish I can recover that memory I lost.

The first time I went to Goodison Park
We played Southampton and won 1-0
I remember how happy I felt, even though it was nearly dark.
And on the way back was a memory I lost.

More recently, the day I admitted I liked a rock band
A massive step away from them crappy ones I used to love
And the time I went away, for the first time, to foreign land
Now seem so far away, more memories I've lost.

Life seems so shocking now
I go to cinema and get all the adult jokes
I don't like sticking my bum out when I take a bow
Incase someone wants a feel. These are memories I won't lose.

And we all have them; they're part of our life
Memories we want back, we long for them
So we just store them up, in our brain's hive.
To be explored whenever we want and they don't become lost memories.
