Painful truth

by Charlie   Dec 24, 2007

The eyes filled with tears,
Blinded by woe
Closing in agony
Too far to go

The lips dry and course
Ruined by hate
And the taste in my mouth
Will not migrate

The touch on my skin
Burns deep red raw
And the flower of sin
Weeps, so saw

The centre it swells
Now setting in stone
The voice deep within
Still echoes your moan

The tongue, once a friend
Smooth to its own kind
Stings from the trace
Its future now blind

The nose searches still stained
For the love that was made
The sent of an artwork
A bodily aid

The ears only burn
The whispers now gone
And the dance that was danced
Is silent from song

This kind of pain
Is one so hard to bare
I took my pain pills
But u are still there.

Wow, that was an amazing poem. i absolutely loved it.

    "This kind of pain
Is one so hard to bare
    I took my pain pills
    But u are still there."
*a fantastic way to tie up the end, i loved it.

although i would like to suggest some things to help the poem.

"To far to go" **should read "Too far to go"

    "The nose searches still stained
For the love that was made
    The sent of an artwork
    A bodily aid"
**the flow was thrown off, consider revising to correct the rythym.

overall i thought the poem was wonderful. great write. 5*5
