Around this town
I see your shadows on the streets
Everywhere I look
There you are
I felt as though you died
One day you're here
The next day you're gone
You're a brother to me
My friend in need
I'll be by your side
You won't have to hide
From the cold winter nights anymore
I found you at just the right time
My heart sank low
The first day I saw you again
Something told me
To save you from sin
That was eating you alive
The looks on your face
I will never forget
So many things
You didn't say
That I some how knew
I wanted to cry
But I have to be strong
I had a shoulder
That you leaned upon
That day in the car
I wanted to drive you away
To a better place
But there is no place
Like the one inside
Before you lost
Who you really are
I felt you would find it
When we were flat on our backs
Looking at stars
So many memories
In such a short time
And so many more
If you live a long life
Your a fragile soul
With a body of armor
Take care of yourself
Right now and forever
Never go back
To what you once knew
Who were once your friends
Is now less than a few
You're named after the angel
That fights in battles
That he always wins
And you have won
The battle with yourself
That could have took you down
You've earned your crown
Don't lose it again
Or you'll also lose
Your only true friend
