The Mighty Horn Of Scorn Blows

by Soulful Ensemble   Dec 28, 2007

You left me for pictures in a box,
Now i feel the double cross.
Tomorrow i'll be gone, you know?
But the pictures will still glow.

Your words are cold, they have no feeling,
They leave me here, just healing.
My human body shatters,
It scatters-- as if it matters.

Nothing can distract my heart that's torn,
My soul is worthlessly forlorn.
I crawl around like a worm,
While your happiness blows its mighty horn.

How much longer do I feel your love?
Its a matter of time until I'm yours.
I've waited plenty, and its unfair to shove,
I just want to take you down to the shore.

You know me well and know me long,
This wondering vagabond has no song.
He just pretends to be strong,
So he can have you hard and long.

Open up your eyes to me,
Why can't you see I'll set you free?
I'll take you back up from your knees,
And answer all your pleas.
But can you answer mine, please?
I'm getting sore here on the floor of disease.
