I Don't Say A Thing

by MyEscape   Dec 30, 2007

* For the one person who had every reason to hate me, and chose to forgive me. For that I am eternally grateful and honestly, quite speechless. We are unable to speak at the moment, but this is a silent message to him I hope he both reads and takes to heart. Thank you for all your understanding and continued friendship! :) Look gay sunshine...(it's a joke between us!!!!) *

I Don't Say a Thing

I still feel like you don't fully understand
The reason for the guilt I'm holding in my hands.
But, you tell me it's okay, though I know your hurt
It seems I push you down, and you just brush off the dirt.

That's a little scary to me, something I don't get.
I'm not used to people who can forgive and forget.
I don't like the feeling that came from what I did.
Just proving the point, inside I'm still a kid.

So, here's one more "I'm sorry," for all that was done.
I can't believe you're here. Why didn't you run?
Scratch the question I asked, I don't want to know.
I'm just fine with the fact you chose not to go.

Now, we are here. This situation's unstable.
As to giving out promises, of that I'm unable.
I sit here with both of my hands over my mouth
So scared if I remove them, what will come out.

Now my words are in chains, my thoughts behind bars.
Imprisoned from crime of taking them too far.
They might be released, or die in this jail
Depends if they're strong, or just too frail.

So I'm on a course, only time can navigate
And what the future holds....we just have to wait.
But I know despite the struggles we have at hand
I don't have to say a thing, for you to understand.
