Two Paramedics

by Cassidy   Jan 2, 2008

There you were
lying on the ground
blood dripped from your neck -
a straight cut on your jugular.

I remember falling to the ground
cupping you head
in my hands, crying so quietly.
I called 911.
I thought they could still save you !

As the two paramedics
ran to your side
I remember praying
for you .
When the two stood up
one walked toward me
and slowly spoke out two words
"she's dead".

Two words I never wanted to hear
but I had to endure them,
had to be strong.

There you were
laying on the ground
your shirt covered in blood.

Your heart beat had stopped,
your lungs collapsed,
and your soul had been soaked up into
the sky .

I fell to the ground
looked up to the sky,

and shed one single tear.
