Depressed Vision

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Jan 3, 2008

She just stared
Stared into my depths
Making me feel
Like the cause of her death

There was no color
In her eyes
There was sadness
From so many lies

Lies she told
To the ones she loved
Hating who wasn't
Answering from above

She looked at her reflection
Hating who she became
Seeing nothing but pain
Needing someone to blame

So she picked up that glass
Drank her life away
Never would she suffer again
Nothing could make her decision sway.

Wow this was just so dark and haunting. The emotions you expressed were deep and ones I could find myself relating with. The last stanza was the perfect way to end the poem. It all flowed nicely and overall it was a great write. Well done *5/5*
